Genell Anderson, AIA, NOMA, ICC

Genell Anderson is the Principal Founder of AMAR Group LLC, a Washington, DC based architectural and design firm. In 2006, Genell teamed up with PBS’s iconic home renovation show “This Old House” as the lead project architect for the rehabilitation of a row house in Washington, DC.

Iantha Carley, Interior Designer

Iantha Carley has created spaces in the 2009, 2011 and 2013 DC Design House and was a 2011 Washington Design Center nominee for the "Ones to Watch" award. She has also been named as one of the top 100 designers in Home and Design magazine's Portfolio of 100 Top Designers.

Keisha Gilchrist, General Contractor

This WIC (Woman in Construction) has a General Contractor's license and leads her own construction crew. She also is an interior designer as her designs have been featured on HGTV, Washington Spaces, Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Black Enterprise, Vibe Vixen, Pynk Magazine, Good Morning DC, and SET Magazine

Melvin Mitchell is CEO of Bryant Mitchell, PLLC , a firm of architects, planners, construction managers, and real estate developers. He is the author of African American Architects: Embracing Culture and Building Urban Communities.

Dennese Guadeloupe Rojas, Interior Designer

Owner of Interiors By Design, Dennese began her career in the design field in 1991. Although Dennese resides in the Washington Metropolitan area, her projects have taken her from coast to coast and to the Caribbean. She specializes in residential, multifamily, commercial interior design and architecture.

Roderick Shade Design is a New York based international interior design firm, which received the highest accolades from top shelter publications such as Top Designers’ lists of Architectural Digest, House Beautiful, New York Magazine and New York Spaces.

Jack Travis, FAIA, NOMAC

Jack Travis founded his namesake design studio -Jack Travis - in 1985. He designed Spike Lee's home and was the architectural consultant for the film, "Jungle Fever." Jack is a highly acclaimed and very respected authority in his field and design and for his in-depth study of African architecture.

Anthony Williams, General Contractor, Developer

Anthony Williams brings over 30 years of experience in Branding and Communications Design. He honed his skills at Chermayeff & Geismar Associates, as principal designer on the JFK International Airport 2000 and Times Square redevelopment plans. He's currently a professor at Pratt Institute in New York.
